October 4, 1939 ~ November 6, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

William K. Stevens, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and closest friends.

He was born on October 4, 1939 in Saratoga Springs, NY the son of the late Kenneth A. Stevens and Katherine Ruzycky Stevens.

William was a custodian for Skidmore College for many years.  Bill loved horseracing and the time he spent in Florida, but he especially cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.  You could always find him in his shorts and flip flops.  Bill never met a stranger and was known for helping anyone he came in contact with.  He served his country with pride in the US Navy.

During his time of illness, William benefited from the expertise and great kindness of the Saratoga Community Hospice. His family wishes to extend their thanks to the wonderful nurses and social workers who brought Bill great comfort in his last months. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of William Stevens to Saratoga Community Hospice.

Bill is survived by his loving mother-in-law Yvonne Kiselica and her longtime companion Kenneth Tooker with whom we spent a lot of good time with this year; beloved wife of 38 years, Karen Kiselica Stevens; daughter, Marci Abraham (Michael); sister, Judy Parks; sister-in-law’s, Debbie Wood (Fred), Jo-Ann Perkins (Skip), Lisa Kiselica-Rumpf; grandchildren, Grace & Ethan Abraham; many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law Joseph Kiselica; brother, James Stevens; sister, Barbara Nelson and his special Aunt Olga Ruzycky who raised him as a son when his parents passed away.

To honor William's wishes there will be no service or calling hours.
