William T. Carter, Sr.

PORTER CORNERS - William T. Carter Sr., age 65, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on March 19, 1953 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of the late Gerald W. Carter and Madeline Rethman Carter.

William was a heavy equipment operator for Saratoga County Highway Department for many years.  He enjoyed working on classic cars, riding his motorcycle, going to Stewarts to get his favorite coffee with the guys and conversing with any one that was around.  What he cherished the most was the time spent with his family especially, with his granddaughter Alyssa.

He is survived by his wife Debra Carter; son, William T. Carter Jr. (Christine); daughter, Colleen Biddle (Brian); brothers, Jimmy Carter (Sherri), and Jerry Carter (Pam); sister, Eileen Dingman (Mike); mother-in-law, Elsie Ebert; brother-in-law, Michael Ebert (Marci); granddaughter, Alyssa Biddle, and his many friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his brother Gary Carter.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.

Family and friends may call from 6 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York

Interment will be at North Milton Cemetery, North Milton Road, Saratoga Springs, NY following the service.
