Toni L. Sodemann, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at home. 

She was born on March 6, 1956 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late Lydia Swanepoole.

Toni was a Medical Taxi Driver for Capital Land for many years.  Toni is known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, yet she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor.  Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple spirit that won the trust and hearts of many.  Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.  She enjoyed long drives in the country, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her beloved husband Robert Barber whom had 25 fun-filled years together; daughters, Faith St. John (Jason), Marisa Burr (Steven Rouse); brothers; Daniel Barber (Robin), Timothy Barber; sister, Wendy Carpenter (Mark); grandson, Jacob St. John and many friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.  Calling hours will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
