I will always have fond memories of Sandie. She would always make me smile and laugh every single time she would come visit our location. She had the warmest heart and truly cared about people. It was little things that she would do that I looked forward to, something as simple as sending a holiday card.
I will miss you Sandie and I will always have a place in my heart for you!!

I worked with Sandie for many years at Anixter. She was always ready, willing & able to teach, learn and help with any project that came her way. I learned a lot from her about work and life. She was my friend even after I left Anixter. I hope to carry on her sweet, loving nature, but I know I can never measure up.
I hope her family understands how heart heavy we all are at her passing, but please know that her light will shine on in our hearts.
Rest now Sandie.

My prayers are with Sandie. My thoughts with all of her family members.
She was of great help to all of us in Latin America during the roll out of CORE in the first phase. Always available, always helpful. We felt a smile in every one of her communications. May she rest in peace and all her beloved ones come out of this sorrow stronger.

I'm so sorry that Sandie had to leave us at such a time in her life.. So much to live for, yet it was out of her control.. You will be missed by everyone who knew you.
My cousin Chip lost the love of his life, but will keep her close to his heart.

I am so saddened to hear of Sandie's passing. I worked at Anixter many years and first met Sandie and her infectious, joyous laugh in the Stamford CT office where she taught me a lot. We would walk down the street for many lunches together. Years later I called her "Mrs Anixter" as she knew absolutely everything about the system and how to do anything! She was always someone I called for help and was always there. Such a positive, happy and helpful woman and her presence will be so missed. I hope that her family knows how loved and appreciated she was and that that offers some sort of help during this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with you. We have truly lost a bright light.

Chip and family,
I had the honor to work professionally with Sandie for over 35 years. Work, that sounds so sterile -- with Sandie it was JOY. Her joy was anchored in helping others, whatever that entailed....helping them succeed, get over a rough time, answer thousands of silly to complex questions, all with her unique splash of humor and infinite patience.. Oh, the times we had, and stories we told. Love you, girl.

Sandie's Hallelujah
after Leonard Cohen
You drove yourself but had to laugh
when others were aghast at gaffes;
they really didn't ever seem to faze you.
You sparkled with a dimpled nod;
you really did believe in God;
you nudged me on to find my hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Indelible dramatic flair
led you to hope and then to dare
yourself before the body overthrew you.
Regardless who thought joy a myth,
you treated friendship as a gift,
a baleful and a glorious hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
The other day I thought I heard
you speak, but all the words were blurred--
well, you never were afraid to try, now were you?
You'd fly across the world to teach;
long as you could you tried to reach
far down enough to smile your hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You worked, you hugged, you cooked, you sewed,
you marveled at the Bible's code
and the world that tried to slow but couldn't stop you.
And even though you left too soon
we won't forget to sing your tune,
cracked open to the core with hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Perfect Peace
The unknown stretches like an ocean
far beyond our view,
But we can visualize that distant shore–
A paradise of perfect peace
where skies are always blue–
A place where we won’t worry any more.
And how we wish that those we love
could somehow find a way
To let us know they’ve made it safely there,
So we can let them go
and know they really are okay...
Receiving all the love we send in prayer.

A Place In Heaven
I have a place in heaven
Please don’t sing
Sad songs for me
Forget your grief & Fears
For I am in Perfect Place
Away from pain & Tears
I’m far away from Hunger
And Hurt and Want and Pride
I have a Place in Heaven
With the Master by my Side
My life on Earth
Was very good
As Earthly lives can go
But Paradise is so much more
Then anyone can know
My Heart is filled with
Happiness & sweet rejoicing too
To Walk with God is Perfect Peace
A joy Forever New

There are so few words of comfort at a time like this and when they are needed most. Sandie truly loved Anixter and the people that work here. and she loved her job. She was a great fit for all she did, wherever she went. Sandie was one of the people that we could go to if we didn't know how or didn't have an answer. I am so thankful I had the pleasure to know her. Anixter has lost a sweet person. She will be truly missed. My prayers are with everyone she leaves behind.
