Robin Degen Obituary

Robin M. Degen, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 15, 1963 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late Robert S. Gilboy Sr. and Betty Hudson Gilboy.

Robin worked at April Fresh Cleaning in Saratoga Springs for many years. Robin had a spirit filled life of love, laughter, singing and playing the guitar. She enjoyed watching movies and country and western, but her most peaceful times was when she read the Word of God, she loved reading the bible daily. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a hard worker and she loved her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband Donald J. Degen Jr.; sons, Randolph S. Jones Jr. of North Carolina, Adrian M. Gilboy of Utica, Aaron S. Gilboy of Utica; brothers, Robert Gilboy (Debra) of Saratoga Springs, Paul Gilboy (Kim) of Utica, James Gilboy of North Carolina; sisters, Betty Gilboy of North Carolina, Sandra Gilboy of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Carol Gilboy; good friends, John Wine and Megan Dickinson, many nieces and nephews and her beloved pets Rocky and Pepper Jack.

She is preceded in death by her brother, John J. Gilboy

At the family’s request there will be a private service.
