Raymond Everett Peacock, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016 at home. 

He was born on August 26, 1927 in Greenfield, NY, the son of the late Everett Peacock and Ethel Burton Peacock.

Ray was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and loved serving his country.  He was a WW2 Navy vet served on the USS Harlan Dickson.

Ray worked at the Saratoga Springs Fire Department as a fireman and was the oldest NYS fire warden, self employed as a taxidermist.

Ray enjoyed the History of Saratoga Springs and surrounding areas, hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing and family, camping and UCONN women’s’ basketball.

Ray is survived by his son, Ron (Linda), daughter Stacy Peacock-Leombruno, Grandaughter Risa Robinson (Matthew), Reid Peacock (Gina), Grandaughters Alex Robinson, Gianna and Natalia Peacock and longtime companion Louise Nolan, brother Sonny Peacock (Joan) and sister Shirley Hammond.

He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Peacock

Contributions in lieu of flowers should be sent to Saratoga County Hospice.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
