Paula Vander Ploeg

GREENFIELD CENTER - Paula Vander Ploeg, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 unexpectedly at Saratoga Hospital. 

She was born on April 16, 1953 in Irvington, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Paul Vojt and Ursula Geiseler Vojt.

Paula was a Home Health Care provider for many years. Her love for people became her passion and her profession. 

She was always entertaining family or friends at her home with her witty sense of humor, whether it was for a meal or just for a visit. Paula kept her family together, no matter what it took.  She loved people and would always put others first before herself and she was passionate about helping others whenever she could. She was a loving, giving, compassionate, and devoted, caregiver to her clients and took care of her mother-in-law up until she closed her eyes to life, especially the last two weeks when she never left her side.  She loved her flowers and had many flower gardens that she enjoyed spending time in.  Along with working in her flower gardens, Paula enjoyed long country rides with her husband George.  She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her love of traveling, gardening and caring for others.

Paula is survived by her beloved husband, George; son, George Vander Ploeg III; daughter, Kim Vander Ploeg; brothers, Paul Otto Vojt (Anne), Fred Vojt (Christine), Christopher Vojt; sisters, Sophie Mackiewicz (George), Heidi Vojt; grandchildren, Jasmine and Ginger and many friends who will miss her dearly. 

She is preceded in death by her brother Joe Vojt and his wife Daryle Vojt.

A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
