Michael Salvato

Michael J. Salvato, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 23rd at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Mickey was born on December 22, 1940 in Ballston Spa, NY to the late Salvie Salvato and Beatrice (Keegan) Salvato.

Mickey enjoyed fishing and loved animals, but above all else, he enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. He had a generous heart and could often be found helping out with a construction project.

Mickey is survived by sons Jason Salvato and James Salvato of Virginia; his sisters MaryLou Cox of Valley Falls, Margaret Fitzgerald of Saratoga Springs, Sally Greenwood and companion Joe DiPasquale of Greenfield Center, Bonnie (Frank) Esposito of Menands, Jean Jordan of Valley Falls, and Kathryn Seaman and companion Peter Walko; special friend Karen Shea; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Salvie Salvato and Beatrice (Keegan) Salvato; brother, Joseph Salvato; sister, Alleine Fitzgerald; and son, Michael J. Salvato II.

At Mickey’s request, no services will be held. A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a donation to defer the funeral costs, you can mail them to Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York.
