Mary F. Izbicki

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mary F. Izbicki, age 71, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on June 16, 1947 in Port Chester, NY, the daughter of the late Patrick and Helen Dempsey. 

She appreciated the little things in life.  She had a way of touching the lives of others.  Mary lived a life full of hope, happiness, laughter, and love.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren who brought warmth, love, and compassion to her heart.  Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, John G. Izbicki of 43 years; sons, Matthew Izbicki (Allison), Daniel Izbicki; daughter, Staci Berg (Christopher); brothers, William Dempsey (Nicolina), Patrick Dempsey, and Vincent Dempsey (Kimberly); brother-in-law, Vincent Slater, brother-in-law, Thomas Izbicki (Evelyn), sister-in-law, Mary Anne LaPorte (Richard); grandchildren, Carson and Parker Berg, Braden, Eileigh, Liviana, and Lucas Izbicki; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Helen Ann Slater; sister-in-law, Christine Dempsey; brother-in-law, Chester Izbicki. 

Mary is a retired Administrative Clerk for the Saratoga Hospital.  The Izbicki family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Saratoga Hospital, specifically those who took care of Mary directly, for their attentiveness and loving care.

Calling hours will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte. 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at St. Peter’s Church 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 with Father Chavelier officiating.  

Interment will be held at 12 noon at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
