Marilyn Couch

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Marilyn Couch, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Wesley Health Care Center. 

She was born on November 26, 1935 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Robert William Couch Sr. and Helen J. Shepard Couch.  In her childhood years she grew up in Jefferson City, MO, graduating from St. Peters High School.  Following graduation, she continued her education at the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN and earning her master’s degree from The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Marilyn worked in the public health as a Registered Dietician in five states throughout her life prior to retiring from the NY State Health Department.  She was a devoted member of the Ski Club, Singles Ski Club of Albany and she loved to travel.  Marilyn will be dearly missed by her family, friends and those she met at Wesley Health Care.     

Marilyn is survived by her brother, Patrick Couch of California; niece, Katherine Tulga of California, many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Bob Palermo; brother, Robert W. Couch Jr. and sister, Sharon A. Couch.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.  Family and Friends may call from 10 am to 10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
