Jonathan Wayne Babson, age 63, passed away peacefully, with loved ones by his side on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
He was born in Seneca Falls, NY on August 26, 1956. He had an identical twin, Jeffrey Babson, who passed away in 1992. He was born 15 minutes before Jeffrey and keeping with their Twinning (and his being first); passed 15 minutes prior to date of Jeff’s passing.
Jon grew up mostly in Clifton Park and graduated from Shenendehowa High School, class of 1975.
Jon’s passions included boating, camping and working on cars. He was known for his optimism and great sense of humor, which he exhibited to the very end. Jon was a blessing to his mother, esp. in recent years, giving her companionship and helping her maintain her home and assisting her in all aspects of her life.
Jon is survived by his mother; Barbara (Ferris) Babson; siblings, David Babson (Kim), Linda Brownlee (Bob), Richard Babson (Pam) and his nieces, Barbara, Sherry, Lisa, Christie, Nicole, and Katelyn, as well as a large extended family. He is also survived by two lifelong dear friends, Peter Brousseau and Karen Shay, who were like family to him.
Jon is preceded in death by his father, Paul Babson; brother, Jeffrey Babson; paternal grandparents, Paul and Johanna (Zaterka) Babyok; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Josephine (Eismann) Ferris.
Family and friends may call from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
