Glenn Hitzegrad

Glenn Hitzegrad, age 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 25, 1949 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of the Edward Hitzegrad and Alice Toland Hitzegrad.  

Glenn was a bartender at the Saratoga Strike Zone for many years.  He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends, golfing, hunting, bowling, fishing and helping others.  He had a giant personality, a beautiful gentle spirit and he was a man with a big heart, who supported his family in all things.

He is survived by his beloved wife Laura Hitzegrad; sons, Jason Bush (April), Heath Bush, Timothy Bush Jr.; daughter, Yvonne Hamelin (Chris); brother, Ralph Hitzegrad; sisters, Jamie Berardi (Nicholas), Madeline Corey-Qua, Tracey Alexander, Laura Manhey; grandchildren, Hayden Bush, Troy Bush; nieces and nephews, Samantha Berardi, Christopher Hansen and many friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
