Gary J. Zwijacz, age 58, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 7, 1959 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of Marian Fryer Zwijacz and the late John Zwijacz.

Gary graduated from Saratoga High School, class of 1977.  He serviced his country with pride in the US Army.

Gary most recently worked at H&M Equipment as a Diesel Mechanic.  He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends, gardening, hunting, taking care of the house, and helping others.  He had a giant personality, a beautiful gentle spirit and he was a man with a big heart, who supported his family in all things.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and spending time with his family especially outdoors.

Gary is also survived by his mother, his sister, Paula (Brian) Murray of Middle Grove; brother, Andrew (Ellen) Zwijacz of Saratoga Springs; niece, Catherine Zwijacz; nephew, Zandan Zwijacz.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 11 am to 12:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam for all their care and support.
