Drusilla Jean Ringwald

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Drusilla Jean Ringwald, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital.  

She was born on September 22, 1930 In Iola, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Alfred and Irma Jones Schewe.

She and her husband Ron loved to take their three children on vacation and even brought them to Disney World the year it opened!  They continued to travel with family until Ronald’s death in 2011.   She loved to shop and read.  Her love of books was inspiring. It included nearly every genre, especially Biographies.  Her favorite saying was, “you’re never lonely when you have a book”.

Drusilla is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Lefevre (Stephen), Kathleen Ringwald (Karen Morry); and son, Gerry Ringwald (Jean Waller); grandchildren, Sarah & Hannah LeFevre.  

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Ringwald and her brother, Jerry Schewe. 

Family and friend may call from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.

There will be a graveside service at 1:30 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY. If you would like to be in the processional, please be at the funeral home 1-hour prior.
