Dolores M. Ure

Dolores “Dee” M. Ure, age 76, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at her residence in the Town of Wilton.  She was born on July 30, 1941, in Cobleskill, NY to Platt Quackenbush and Dorothy Schaeffer.

Dolores worked in the food service industry, most recently at Skidmore College.

She enjoyed baking and cooking and loved listening to the king “Elvis”, Loretta Lynn, and Willie Nelson.  She also spent many happy hours loving her pet dachshunds and cats Lucky and Calli.

Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years Carl Ure who had a fun-filled life together; sons, Charles Ure (Nancy), Patrick Ure, Donald L. Ure (Renee), Kevin Ure (Jennifer); brother, Dennis Quackenbush (Sonja); grandchildren, Jason Caldwell, Scott Caldwell, Justin, Greta, Elliot, Bradley, and Cameron Ure; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Emma, Taylor, Isabella; nephews, Steven, Jeffrey and Eric Dauley.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Dauley.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm prior to the service.

Interment will be held at Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga Springs following the service.
