Carmella M. Bruckner, 92, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on August 3, 1925, in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter to the late Edward Scala and Bruna Sansiveri Scala.

Carmella was a homemaker, and one of her favorite things to do was to visit with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed knitting, and Bingo.  She a loving wife, and mother who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. She was a wonderful listener and “counselor” for her siblings and children. 

She is survived by her son, Michael Bruckner; daughter, Marie Bowman from Pittsburg; sister, Jean Addorisio; sister-in-law Helen Scalo and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and brothers, Angelo Scalo, Salvatore Scala, Anthony, Scala and John Scalo.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. Peter’s Church 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friend may call on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.) Saratoga Springs, New York.

Interment will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Saratoga Springs following the service.
