Bert William Pyle Jr.

Bert William Pyle Jr. passed away January 2018.  Bert was born in 1935 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to parents Bert William Pyle Sr. and Florence Frahm. 

Bert graduated from Gothenburg High School and the University of Nebraska where he belonged to Alpha Tau Omega and Army ROTC. He spent his military career in Germany where he was adjutant at Munich’s Military Hospital. Bert did his graduate work at the University of Michigan in Hospital Administration and later worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver. He served in hospital administration at University of Nebraska at Omaha, Milwaukee County in Wisconsin and Elmira, New York.  He enjoyed his retirement years living on the lake and traveling with his beautiful bride, Barbara, volunteering, and spending time with family and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Barbara Rystrom, and children Bradford, Kirby, Heidi, and Bert.  Extended family includes Cynthia, Lauritz, and Franesa and grand-children Jillian, Ian, Kolding, Vinkel, Madison and Rainier.

He will be interred at Saratoga National Cemetery.
