Alice I. Williams

Alice I. Williams, age 78, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. 

She was born on September 30, 1939 in Schuylerville, NY, the daughter of the late Albert and Dortha Blanchard Almy. 

Alice was a manager at Woolworth’s in Saratoga Springs for many years.  She was a loving wife/partner, and mother who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family.  She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren.   She also enjoyed gardening, puzzles, and the Racino.  

Alice is survived by her lifelong partner, Gerald LaFortune; son, Harvey James Williams Jr.; daughters, Nancy Gratto (Daryl), Patricia Clark (Daniel), Thelma (Tilly) Hathaway (Donald), Linda Hope Williams; sisters, Charlene Enug (Barry), Joyce Salmon; grandchildren, Jessica Curry (James), Scott Williams, Kimberley Darfler (Jason), Amanda Dickinson (Devin), Julie Grant (Ben), Jason Clark (Elizabeth), Julia Woolley; many nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Williams, Sr., three brothers and seven sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.  Family and friends may call from 11 am to 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
