Charlotte and I want to express our condolences to all of you. I have the privilege of having known George as my older brother during my youth.. So I have witnessed him from his early adulthood through his military experience and as a father and husband in his adult life. He was an inspiration to me when I was the last remaining Sheard living at home with our mother ( Mama ) and he provided me with guidance and help during those frivolous teen years. But mainly and to get to the point, George was a good and caring man of faith. George was someone special to all of us. His ideals and inspiration will stay with us all through the ensuing years. We are saddened to hear of George's passing! He (and Shirley) were very special people and we always enjoyed our conversations with them! George had quite the full life and was so blessed with a wonderful family. It was a pleasure knowing him!
