Shirley M. Batcher

Shirley Batcher, age 81 passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 12, 1936 in Albany, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Charlotte Oliver Batcher.

Shirley was the type of person that once you met her you had a friend for life. Shirley had such a charisma about her with a contagious smile that accompanied it. Above all Shirley loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed being with them as much as possible and always welcomed someone just stopping in on her for company, even if it was just for a few minutes. Always a kind-hearted soul, Shirley will be missed greatly by all that knew her.

Shirley is survived by her son, Edmund Buck; sisters, Patricia Sitcer and Frances Calhoun; grandchildren, China LaJuene (Jason); great grandchildren, Corey Hall and Chloe LaJuene, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by seven brothers, Earl, Elvin, Raymond, Marvin, Gerald, Charles and Glenn.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at 2:00 pm at St. Peters Cemetery, 150 West Ave Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 following the service.
