Roderick E. Griffin-Greco died on Saturday, February 18, 2017 after a long illness.  He was 58. 

Roderick was born on April 20, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY.  He attended Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Alabama and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri before enlisting in the United States Army in 1983.  Roderick served his country honorably abroad in both Europe and Asia until 1989, when he moved to Saratoga Springs, NY.  Roderick was an avid sports enthusiast and loved to ride his bike and spend time with family.  He was a member of the Soul Saving Station Church in Saratoga Springs.  His father, Frank Greco, predeceased him in 1997.

He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Juanita Greco of Saratoga Springs; the dear mother of his three children, Vickie Wilkins; the absolute joy of his life, his three sons:  Jason Clow (Karrisa Thomas), Roderick (Nick) Greco II (Brie Nadeau), and Isaac Greco (Kayla Dunn) all of Saratoga Springs.  He also leaves behind three grandchildren:  Jeremiah Greco, Ayverieh Clow, and Azariah Clow of Saratoga Springs; two aunts:  Sallie Griffin White and Edna Russell; an uncle, Jimmy Griffin, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his church family who loved him unconditionally.

A Home Going service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Soul Saving Station Church, 62 Henry St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Family and friend may call from 11 am – 1 pm prior to the service at the church. 

At the family’s request, family and friends may join them for further fellowship after the funeral service for repass in the fellowship hall at the church.  

Interment with military honors will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
