Robert David Callahan, age 67, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on January 17, 1950, in Niskayuna, NY, to John and Irene (Doak) Callahan.

Robert attended Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam, NY, and later obtained his GED.  He was self-employed and worked for many years as a landscaper at Christman-Callahan Landscaping in Niskayuna.

Robert enjoyed gardening, computers, and flea markets, sometimes going there on his motorcycle.  He also had a love for fishing, hunting, gold panning, and his beloved dog, Moose.

Robert is survived by his brothers James Callahan, Stephen Callahan (Joanne), Step-brother Robert Callahan (Dorothy), nephew Eric Callahan (Lauren), great niece Danielle, great nephew Jayden, and also his long-time companion Randall Christman. He is also survived by many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Compassionate Funeral Care. Pastor Mike Meyer-Veen of Schoharie Reformed Church will officiate.  Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 pm prior to the service at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York.
