Mocksville, NC - Richard Joseph Nestoryak Jr., age 39, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 unexpectedly.

He was born on January 25, 1977 in Albany, NY, the son of Lois Kepinski and the late Richard Joseph Nestoryak Sr.

He was a truck driver for Jordan Carriers Inc. in Natchez, MS for many years.  He always admired over-the-road driving and still found many ways to pursue his interests and hobbies despite the many weeks behind the wheel.  He also loved recording his adventures via pictures and videos of every road trip he traveled.  Richard was a man who gave.  He gave much to his work, to his family and to his friends.  He was a loving, kind and caring person always putting others first.  Richard was a very outgoing person who loved to laugh and make others laugh.  Most of all he loved his daughters and cherished every moment he spent with them.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his mother, Lois Platner (Ronald Jr.); wife, Kathy (Val) Nestoryak; daughters, Madi & Mia Nestoryak; sister, Elizabeth Rosario, Catherine Nestoryak; brothers, Jan Kepinski (Tammy), Ronald Platner III; aunt, Jane Fulweber (Michael) and many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Joseph Nestoryak Sr. and grandparents.  

A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.).  Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 pm prior to the service.
