Averill Park, NY - Norman E. Zipkin, 57, at rest Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Albany Medical Center following a long illness.

Born on March 26, 1959, he was the son of Doris (Chamberlin) and the late Bernard Zipkin.

Norman attended Averill Park Central School and was a truck driver for Estes Trucking Company until his retirement.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.

Besides his mother Doris Zipkin of Averill Park, he leaves two daughters,  Nicolle Zipkin and Heather Zipkin and a son,  Michael Zipkin all of Averill Park; two brothers Alan Zipkin(Maureen)  and Dale Zipkin (Janis); a cousin Rose Metchick and his former spouse Wendy (Speth) Zipkin  all of Averill Park. Several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 2 at New Hope for Life Ministries Church, 6 Fairgrounds St, Nassau, NY.  A calling hour will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the church prior to the service. A gathering will be held after the service.
