I was a student of Dr Enhornings at ACC. His teaching and his ability to make his students think helped me throughout my college career and beyond. There was one class however that I remember very fondly. It was the fall of 1978 and the Yankees had just won the World Series. He was in a great mood as he announced that class as we knew was canceled because today we were going to talk baseball. And we did. His enthusiasm that day and for the other more pertinent subject matters he taught really impressed me.
I'm sorry for your loss but Dr Enhorning was a positive influence for me and many other students. I'm glad to have been a small part of what he did.

Dear Mary,

JoAnn and I extend our deep sympathy to you and your family at this most difficult time.
Norm and I differed on many political matters, and even in our selection of our favorite baseball team. We had many detailed discussions of world events, but we never let our disagreements become personal. I believe that we had a strong friendship during the 30 years I was part of the teaching faculty with him at ACC.

Norm was a true scholar and a dedicated teacher. He was a true gentleman and I will always remember him with great respect. May he rest in peace.

We wish to send our condolences at Norm's passing. Bob served on the Education Committee with Norm and often attended John's Wednesday noon book discussions. Norm had intelligent comments to make during those discussions. Sara had interactions with him about the church during the years. He will be missed.

A fine friendship at ACC for 22 years, flowering into a deep bond for 19 more years of weekly telephone and mail contacts. Knew him well: thoughtful, generous, sharing, and that unexcelled knowledge and brilliance!

Dear family, I was lucky enough to be taught by this wonderful brilliant gentleman at ACC in the fall of 1971. He was indeed one of the most intelligent people I ever met! He made learning western civilization a pleasure. In the late 1990's I was again lucky to cross his path as I waitressed at Martha's breakfast restaurant where he and his lovely wife would eat daily! It was always a blessing to see them come in! Prayers to your family

Christine and family
Your father taught me at Adirondack Community College. He had such a mixture of great intelligence and humor. He could speak for hours without any notes in front of him and still make it interesting. He was such a terrific professor and a kind man. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Family of Dr. Enhorning,

I am sorry to hear of your loss. He was a wonderful man and will live in your hearts, thoughts, and memories always. I had him as a professor while attending SUNY Adirondack. I have to say that of all of my years attending college for education, he was my absolute favorite professor. There was something about the passion and love for teaching that he put forth. I carried all of that with me and continue to as an educator myself. I often thought of him over the years and would share his spirit and wonderful teaching abilities to anyone who would listen.

Know that you had a treasure of a man to call your family and he will be honored, remembered, and sorely missed. May you find comfort in the lives he shaped and nurtured; mine being one of them.

God Bless,
Stacy LaChapelle

My sincere condolences to the Enhorning family. Dr, Enhorning was a true inspiration to me back in the 80's when I attended ACC as a returning adult student. Never before had I received a score of 11 on a 10 point quiz. He was a wonderful educator and an all-around "nice guy" May God welcome him into His loving arms.
