Mary Ellen Brice, age 68, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Ellen was born on October 14, 1948 in Elizabethtown, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard Duffany Sr. and Minnie Bell Duffany.

Mary Ellen was a laborer for ESPEY Mfg. Electronics Corp for many years. Mary Ellen had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.  Her spirit is carried on by her two children and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.  As a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Brice, Jeffrey Brice; brothers, Robert Duffany (Madeline); sisters Helen Chabot, Linda Germain (Tom), Betty Jo Dunn (Gary), Beverly Carey (Bill); one grandchild and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Leonard Duffany Jr. and Mary Ellen’s Fiancé, Roger Sioui.

Friends and family may call from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.) Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

A funeral service for the immediate family only will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Compassionate Funeral Care.  The burial will be in the spring.
