CORINTH - Mary Bent, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on January 2, 1935 in Ballston Spa., NY, the daughter of the late Joseph B. Zepko and Margaret Foley Zepko.

Mary graduated from Ballston High School, class of 1953. 

Mary was a Jill of all trades and worked as a trucker, jeweler, baker, dressmaker, and superhero.   She inspired everyone she met with her love of life and fierce independence.  She loved a good laugh, skiing, and bowling.  She was a “people” person and could talk to anyone about anything.  There were no strangers in Mary’s world for very long. She embraced everyone as a new friend. 

Mary is survived by her loving husband Lewis Bent, they traveled many miles together and had a life full of fun and love.; sons, Vincent Gregorek (Eva), David Gregorek, Mark Gregorek (Erin), Stephen Gregorek (Laurie); daughters, Mary Jo Dickerson (John), Karen Gregorek (Steve); ;stepsons Doug Bent (Arlene), Lewis Bent; stepdaughter Wanda Boise (Tom); brothers, Joseph Zepko (Lea), James Zepko (Joan), sisters, Margaret Peterson (Gene), Agnes Pompa (Nelson), Anne Groski (Raymond); sister –in-law Lloyddean; many much loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Patrick Zepko and her first husband Alfred Gregorek.  

A celebration of Mary’s life for family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 12th   at the LaRosa residence.  Please call 518-401-7608 for further details.
