June 22, 1934 ~ August 23, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Margaret Theresa Holzschuh (Nee Clancy) suddenly passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.  She was born on June 22, 1934 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Thomas Clancy and Nora Casey Clancy.  She was a loving, caring mother, grandmother and wife.

Marge spent her younger years in Harrison, New Jersey.  She graduated from Harrison High School with high honors.

She started her work years at the RCA Radio Corporation in Harrison, New Jersey.  Having gone together for four years, Marge Married Thomas Holzschuh, while he was in the United States Army.  The wedding took place at Holy Cross Church in Harrison, New Jersey on February 6, 1954.  Too start the 2017 year off they celebrated their sixty third wedding anniversary as the years went on their love for each other remained unconditional.

She went back to work as a teller for the then First National Bank of Kearny, taken over by Valley National Bank.  She worked her way up to Assistant Branch Manager.  She retired after twenty-five years with an exceptional work record.

Marge moved from Kearny, New Jersey where she lived for sixty years, with her husband Tom and daughters Diane and Susan, too South Glens Falls, New York.

Marge worked with children of Schuyler School PTA and Boy Scout Troop.  She was a past member of the Catholic Daughters, Officer for the Kearny Lodge 1050 Women’s Club, a Treasurer for the Saint Stephen’s Seniors Club all in Kearny, New Jersey and she was a member of Moreau Senior Club of South Glens Falls, New York.

She enjoyed life so much with her Husband Tom, her family and friends.  She was a happy, joyful person to be with and had a memory where she knew so much and she loved to talk.  Her fun thing at her new home was sitting on the front porch and waving to those passing by.

Marge was a loving and caring mother to four children, Thomas Jr. of Los Osos, California, Donald of Lexington, South Carolina, and Diane and Susan of South Glens Falls, NY.  A grandmother to five grandchildren, great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, and is also survived by her sister, Maureen Findley and brother, Thomas, both from Pennsylvania.

Her husband and daughters want to give a special thanks to the staff of the South Glens Falls Police Department, Moreau Emergency Squad and Glens Falls Hospital Medical Alert service for all their compassion, help and kindness they gave to my wife and our mother.

A mass service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 23, 2017 at St. Stephen’s  Church, 676 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032.
