He was born on February 10, 1947 in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico to Juan Roman and Nicomedes Sanchez.

Marcel proudly served our country in the United States Army and later graduated from the University of Akron. He was an engineer for many years and later enjoyed a successful real estate career.

He was a devoted father and husband who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was a great example to his three daughters and grandchildren, exhibiting the true meaning of family. He enjoyed day trips with his dear wife and doting on his grandchildren He loved to vacation in Puerto Rico where he always shared many laughs with his brothers and sisters. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday December 3, 2015 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Calling hours will be held from 4 – 7 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the funeral home.

Interment with Military Honors will be at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Firestone Park United Methodist Church in Akron, Ohio.
