Kenneth Woodcock

June 30, 1954 ~ February 20, 2017 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Kenneth Woodcock passed away in his sleep peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2017, he was 62.

He was born June 30, 1954 in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Isabell Woodcock and the late Allyn Woodcock Sr..

Kenny graduated from Schuylerville Central School with a lot of memories of his Glory days on the football team and wrestling team.  He was the Empire State Wrestling Champion for many years.  He attended Alfred State where he graduated and pursued a lifelong career and hobby as a master craftsman in his woodworking.  If you needed it fixed, tightened, or built he was your guy.  He took great pride in every piece he built.  He was an active member (past PER, Trustee) at the Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge 161.  He volunteered a lot of time because he enjoyed helping people and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen.  He was famous at Bingo for his Western Omelets and his chili.  Kenny was a very humble and compassionate man that loved everyone he met.

Kenny will be greatly missed and remembered most for his fun spirit, kind heart, contagious laugh and smile, but mostly his willingness to lend a hand whether it was a ride, to talk, cook or fix and build something.

Kenny is survived by his two daughters who he loved whole heartedly, Meghan Woodcock and Kendra Woodcock (Matthew Krambeck); his three grandchildren he just adored, Matthew Jr., Sophia, and Hunter Krambeck.  Ken is also survived by his mother, Isabell Ross Woodcock; brother, Terry Woodcock (Laura); sister, Laurie Brady (Tom) and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.

His two daughters would like acknowledge a second family to him, Catherine Cassier, Catherine Krambeck (Wayne), Dianne Booth (Paul) and James Cassier.

He is preceded in death by his father, Allyn Woodcock Sr. (2009), his brother, Allyn Woodcock Jr. (1994) and his nephew, John Allan (2001).

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 as well as a special Elks ceremony at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York.   Family and friends may call from 11 am to 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
