Kathleen R. Fowler of Saratoga Springs, 64, passed away peacefully at home on June 6th, 2016, under the kind and compassionate care of Hospice along with the support of her husband and mother at her bedside, after a lengthy illness at Saratoga Hospital.

Born October 8th, 1951 in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of Joan Hyde and the late Daniel Naylor.

Kathy continued her education earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and later attended Cape Cod Community College.  From there she was accepted and attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA.

Kathy was proud to have been employed by the St. Petersburg Times, Sperry, Unisys, the University of Delaware and the Cape Cod Times.

Kathy's passion was creating art, decorating and caring for her pets. She believed strongly that "anything was achievable" and never deviated from whatever goal she set for herself, nor allowed her many disabilities to hinder or deter her.  She was a very strong woman who would never settle and never give up. 

She is survived by her loving husband and companion of 26 years, Lawrence W. Fowler of Saratoga Springs, NY, mother; Joan C. Hyde of Saratoga Springs, NY, sisters; Patricia Runion, Elizabeth Naylor, and Laura Newton, brother-in-law’s; David Fowler and his wife Lisa from Deptford, NJ, Robert Fowler of Edgewater Park, NJ, Elliot Anderson of Cape Cod, MA, nieces; Angela Still and her children of New Jersey; Andrea Fowler and her children of New Jersey, Jasmine Anderson, Alexis Pope, and nephews; Christian Zavala and Justin Zavala. and Kathy's extended family not herein mentioned.

She is predeceased by her father; Daniel Naylor, sister, mentor and advocate, Joan Marie "Angel" Anderson of Cape Cod, Mass.

At the request of the family a private graveside service will be held at Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, NY.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Kathy Fowler to the Albany, NY chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 or Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
