Jerry E. Carpenter Jr., age 20, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 one day before his 21st birthday at Albany medical center surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 9, 1995 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the son of Jerry E. Carpenter Sr. and Lynn Rituno Carpenter. 

Jerry graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, class of 2016.  He went through so much and hardly ever complained. He was a tough young man with a brave heart and innocent soul. It was because of these qualities that Jerry touched so many lives and spread love and comfort to all those who knew him.

He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, playing video games and he especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his father; Jerry Carpenter Sr., mother; Lynn Rituno Carpenter, sisters; Kayla Carpenter and Cheyenne Carpenter, living grandmother; Luella Rituno, many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his grandfather; Joseph A. Rituno

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Calling hours will be held from 11 am – 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, NY following the service.
