Jeanette Pearl Olson

Jeanette P. Olson, age 92, of Falconer, NY (and then of Ballston Spa.), gently passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Saratoga Hospital.  

Born September 6, 1926 in Corry, PA, Jeanette is the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Post) Himelein.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her son John, beloved Husband Raymond and son Thomas.

Jeanette worked for the Jamestown for many years.  She loved sightseeing with family members, watching sports, concerts and plays, participating in all family gatherings, taking grandchildren on adventures, and attending the Grange.  She was an avid reader. Jeanette was often a helper or caretaker to those in need making their journey a little easier.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Barbara (Robert) Lloyd, Richard (Minerva) Olson, and Nancy (Bruce) Sleper.  The loves of her life are her grandchildren, Jesse, Jenette, Richard, John, Juan and Sean; great-grandchildren, Sophia and D.J., many nieces and nephews and their children.  She was also close to her daughter Barbara’s husband Robert who helped care for Jeanette. His family Leah, Josh, Adam, Brooke, Dylan, Kylie, Gwen and Gavin were part of her life as well.  In addition, David L. Miller, Larry and Jerrianne Barnes, Diana Beth and Bill Fox, the entire Olson Family and Karen Lloyd (and many more) were her family.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Levant Wesleyan Church, 1670 Lindquist Drive, Falconer, NY.  

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Levant Wesleyan Church, 1670 Lindquist Drive, Falconer, NY, prior to the service.  

Interment following the service will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Falconer.  A reception will be held at the Falconer Grange.

A special thanks to everyone who ever took care of Jeanette.  Thank you especially to the entire staff, from doctors, to nurses, to aids at the Saratoga Hospital who were extraordinarily competent, wise and caring to Jeanette.   

Flowers may be sent to the Levant Wesleyan Church or in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeanette can be made to the Falconer Grange, which would be thankfully accepted.
