George Aime Bonenfant, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at home.

He was born on May 17, 1940 in Cohoes, NY, the son of the late John Bonenfant and Marie Jeanne Dulude Bonenfant.

George worked as a dairy farmer and last work at Strainer & Strainer Construction Co. George enjoyed working in the woods with his draft horses, cutting firewood, cooking with cast iron in his cook shack, and having a cold one with his friends.

George is survived by his Spouse, Joann Bonenfant; sons, Christopher Bonenfant and Eric Bonenfant; grandchildren, Ryan Bonenfant and Zachary Hopkins; siblings, Bonnie Kachidurian, Therese Sliwa, Francoise Ouimet and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10 am on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY. At the family’s request there will no calling hours.
