She was born on May 17, 1924 in the town of Ellenburg, NY to the late Peter and Matilda Tillie Spoor Dominy.

Dorothy was a homemaker who was kind, loving and a warm person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her brothers; Jim Dominy of Oriskany, NY and Jake Dominy of Rome, NY, her children; Karen Sunderland of Reno, NV, Linda Sunderland of Saratoga Springs, NY, Kim Anderson of Ballston Spa., NY and her daughter-in-law; Margaret (Wall) Sunderland of Ft. Edward, NY. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Tracy Novotny of Greenfield, NY, Michelle Realejo and her son Gavin of New Bedford, MA, Heather LaMarque and her sons Eric Sunderland and Owen LaMarque of Hudson Falls, NY, Kristin Anderson and her son Raymond Dacier of Ballston Spa., NY, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to express a Special thank you to Dorothy’s niece Jane (Nichols) Wood and her husband Gary and her nephew Jim Nichols for being there for Dorothy all those years her daughter took care of her.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte. 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Calling hours will be held from 12 noon – 1 pm prior to the service.

Interment will be held at the South Wilton Cemetery, Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY.
