Donna Cruger

Donna Cruger, age 68, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 with her loving family at her side. 

She was born on June 2, 1949, the daughter of the late Donald Blanchard and Wilma Kostka Solomon.

Donna loved reading, attending Native American Culture events, was a active member of New Age Culture and was very fond of collecting Ancient Egyptian artifacts and many different types of crystals. In her early years, she worked in the Jewelry business.  This passion later grew into a business venture, at which time she became the original co-owner of The Magic Moon in downtown Saratoga Springs for thirteen years. She was one of those women that most aspire to be. She always had a genuine smile and set a wonderful example of courage and strength for all those who knew her.  Donna also enjoyed her vacations with her husband lodging on the beach while visiting close friends at Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Donna had many interests in her life but her genuine love and affection towards her beloved family always came first and will forever continue………

She is survived by her devoted husband Wayne Cruger; sons, Casey Cruger (Virginia), Kenneth Cruger, Chad Cruger Sr.; grandchildren, Britnee Cruger, Cassidy Cruger, Chad Cruger Jr, Carly Cruger, Robert Walker, Christopher Walker, Britney Walker; great-grandchildren, Olivia Walker and Nadia Walker and many dear friends whom will miss her dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Greenfield Center Cemetery on Wilton Rd, Greenfield Center, NY 12833 and located 1 mile east of Rt 9N/Wilton Rd intersection.  Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 11:45 am at the cemetery prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Saratoga Community Hospice for all there love and compassion and care during Donna’s transition through her long term illness.
